How we handle your information.
Last updated September 12, 2026
Sugar in the Raw is a Miami interview show built on people telling the truth. That trust does not end when the camera stops. This policy explains, in plain language, how we handle the information you share through this website. No fine print games. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and we will walk you through it.
What we collect
We only collect what you hand us and what a website normally records. Two buckets.
Information you submit. When you fill out a form on this site, we receive what you type into it. There are two forms:
- The guest application: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, city, social links, your story, and how you answer what we ask, including the one question this show is built on.
- The partner form: your name, contact details, company, the category you work in, and what you are looking to do with us.
There is no contact form and no newsletter on this site, so we are not collecting anything through either.
Analytics. Google Analytics records technical information about your visit automatically. The next section says exactly what that is.
How we use it
We use your information to run the show and to talk to you. Specifically:
- To review guest applications and decide who is a fit.
- To reply to you, book a call, and follow up about your application or partner inquiry.
- To contact you by email, phone or text about an application you sent us, if you gave us that permission on the form.
- To understand which pages people read, so we can make the site better.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone who wants to market to you.
How the forms are handled
This site is hosted on Netlify and both forms are processed by Netlify Forms. When you hit submit, what you typed is sent to Netlify, stored in our Netlify account, and notified to us by email. Netlify handles that data as our hosting provider under its own privacy and security terms.
Applications and partner inquiries stay in the Netlify account while we are working through them. Once we have decided and told you, we keep the submission for our own records of what was agreed, and we delete it on request. Ask us and we will delete it.
Cookies and analytics
This site runs Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-T2DK713BY2. It is on every page, including this one. It is the only analytics tool on the site, and we use it to see which pages people read and where they arrived from.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and gives your browser or device an identifier so it can tell one visit from another. Through it we receive:
- The pages you view here, and how long you stay on them.
- The site, search or link that sent you.
- Your device type, operating system, browser and screen size.
- An approximate location. Google works that out from your IP address. We never see your IP address and Google does not store it in our property.
Google LLC is the analytics provider processing that data for us. You can read how Google handles it at policies.google.com/privacy. If you would rather Google Analytics did not measure you on this site or any other, install Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We do not run ads from this site and we do not build advertising audiences out of this data. Google retains the event level data for a limited period set on our property and then deletes it. Aggregate counts, like how many people opened a page in a month, stay in the reports. If you would rather not be counted at all, Google publishes a browser opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies in their settings. Turning them off breaks nothing on this site.
Who else touches your information
Two companies, and only in order to run the site:
- Netlify hosts the site and processes the two forms.
- Google LLC provides the analytics described above.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Beyond that, we keep your information to ourselves.
Your choices
You can:
- Ask us what information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete it.
- Tell us to stop contacting you. If it is texts, replying STOP also works.
Email [email protected] and say what you need. It is the way to reach us for any of these. We will get back to you.
Keeping data safe
We take reasonable steps to protect what you share and to keep it only as long as we need it for the reasons above. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your story and your details with the same care we bring to the room when the mic is on.
Accessibility
We build this site to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. In practice that means you can reach everything with a keyboard, focus outlines are visible, there is a skip to content link, every form field has a label, images have alt text, and text meets the contrast ratios.
If any part of this site is hard or impossible for you to use, email [email protected]. Name the page and what happened. We will look at it, come back to you, and if we cannot fix it quickly we will give you another way to get what you came for.
Updates to this policy
As the show grows, this policy may change. When it does, we update the date at the top of this page. Worth a look now and then.
