Straight about it.
Most guests book a paid spot. We do not publish one number, because the seat is not one product: an hour with travel and a hotel handled is a different job from an afternoon with someone who lives twenty minutes away. You get the number on the call, before anything is booked, and you are free to walk.
People with a story that deserves to be heard are often invited at no cost. If that is you, say so in the form and it will not count against you.
