What you agree to when you sit down.

This is a plain-language summary of what you agree to as a guest. It is written so you can actually understand it. It is not the full legal document. Before we record, we provide a formal Guest Appearance Agreement to sign, and you are welcome to have your own counsel review it.

The conversation is recorded

Your sit-down is captured on camera and audio, start to finish. We film in Miami on cinema cameras and Shure microphones. Every minute is recorded, including the moments before and after we get to the one that sits at the center of the show: what makes you sad.

You grant us permission to use it

By appearing on the show, you give us permission to record, edit, and use your name, voice, likeness, and the footage of your conversation. That use covers the full episode, short clips, and promotion of the show across all channels, formats, and platforms, now and in the future. This permission is worldwide and it does not expire.

We may edit for length and clarity

Episodes run about an hour, and we cut clips from them. We edit for length and clarity and to shape the story into a finished piece. We do our work with care and respect, and the final edit is ours.

What you share is yours to share

You confirm that the stories, details, and anything else you bring to the conversation are your own to share. You are not disclosing someone else's private information or anything you are not free to talk about openly on camera.

Most guests pay to appear

For most guests, appearing on Sugar in the Raw is a paid booking. Your fee covers the production and the platform: the sit-down, the cinematic filming, the professional edit, the clips we send you, and the push across our channels. Some guests, usually everyday people with a story that deserves to be heard, are invited at no cost or a reduced one. We are clear about which applies to you before anything is booked.

What the fee does not buy is a specific outcome. We do not promise a set number of views, a viral clip, or any particular reaction. What you get is the seat, the room, a real conversation, and finished content that is yours to keep and post. You take part because you have something real to say.
